Akhinoor a 12 years old girl who was forced to get married; but a Female Community Volunteer of Nirapod project played crucial role to stop the marriage and helped Akhinoor reinstate her dream

Akhinoor is the daughter of Abdul Mannan and she lives in Alipur of Dasminaupazial under the district of Patuakhali. She has five brethren and sisters. Her father is a poor small business man and struggling against extreme poverty regularly. Akhinoor is twelve years’ and she is in class six.

In 14th October of 2014 her marriage arranged with Hasem Ali, a son of Almas Mrida. They also lived in the same village. Although Akhinoor is not interested to get this marriage due to she wants study more. But her father was not interest to miss this guy due to their financial solvency. On the other hand, her mother is not fascinated to this occasion because she is a tiny as her age.

After that one day Karuna Begum, member of female volunteer team of Marie Stopes Bangladesh identify this issue and she went to Akhinoor house for convincing her father about the aspects of early marriage. On that time Akhinoor fathers’ didn’t give any importance on Karuna’s discussion on negative effect of early marriage. After that she again informed this issue to the Minara Begum, a female member of union parishad and she went to Akhinoor house again with Minara. They talked about stop this marriage ceremony immediately. They also informed to Akhinoor father, if he doesn’t agree with them and doesn’t stop this marriage they take ruling action against him for arranging early marriage.

Due to this consequence, Akhinoor's father had to stop this marriage and he also promised them to continue her study.  Now, Akhinoor is once again hopeful and dreaming about a beatiful life.
